– NOEL STEWART

Noel Stewart’s natural passion for millinery began as a student when he would make ornamental items such as lampshades progressing to making hats for friends. Before attending the Royal College of Art to do his masters, Noel Stewart had already worked with designers Dai Rees and Stephen Jones - this included time spent as Stephen Jones’s assistant at Christian Dior Couture.

Establishing his own label, Noel Stewart has since designed hats for leading fashion designers such as Roland Mouret, Marios Schwabb, Roksanda Ilincic, Erdem, Hussein Chalayan, Diesel, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Oscar De La Renta. His startling headwear is underlined with a classical beauty that has attracted celebrity clients including Kiera Knightly, Lilly Allen, Kylie Minogue and Beth Ditto. He also created the show stopping hats for Kylie Minogue’s and Britney Spears’s world tour.

Noel Stewart’s work was awarded the accolade of being chosen for the Hats, An Anthology by Stephen Jones exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Noel Stewart’s millinery is regularly featured in international press including magazines such as Vogue UK, Italia, Russia, China, Japan as well as Harpers Bazaar, Dazed and Confused, ID, V Magazine, LOVE, Another and 10 Magazine.

Most recently, Noel Stewart was one of the iconic British milliners chosen to take part in London’s Hatwalk event. He created an oversized design to dress the head of the statue of menswear icon Beau Brummel.
