Biography
Established in 1946, John Boyd quickly grew to be one of London’s best-loved
milliners. Gaining much acclaim for hats for Princess Diana, John Boyd
developed a loyal and discerning clientele, who recognised his designs as
elegant, fun and striking, made with care and attention to detail.
The workroom continues in much the same way today, with everything
handmade on site using traditional millinery techniques and equipment. Many
of the beautiful creations are made using treasured materials collected by Mr
Boyd over the decades. Since John’s death in 2018, the label continues under
the guidance of Sarah Marshall, who worked alongside John Boyd for 14 years
and who has a deep understanding and respect of this much loved millinery
brand.
